Research Resident
Baylor College of Medicine
Houston, Texas, United States
I am a current research resident in General Surgery at the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, and the added experiences of my training have sparked a passion for complex general surgical oncology. I find myself drawn to the technical aspects of its surgeries, the nuances and complexities that dwell within its wide scope of practice, and its deep focus on research to broaden our understanding and therapy of the pathophysiology of its patient population. The scientific investigations that underlie this discipline are also fascinating to me, as it allows me to combine the skills I will develop as a general surgeon during my residency as well as my passion for basic science research that I developed during my time in undergraduate and medical school.
