Dr. Aaron J. Dinerman is an immunotherapy and surgical oncology clinical research fellow at the National Cancer Institute within the Surgery Branch under Dr. Steven A. Rosenberg. He comes from Huntsville, Alabama where he finished high school, then attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his undergraduate education, majoring in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Hebrew. He then attended the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama, taking some time off to solidify his interest in medicine and biomedical sciences, graduating in 2020 as an AOA member and Gold Humanism inductee. He then matched in General Surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he completed 2 years of clinical duty. Dr. Dinerman’s interest in surgical oncology led to an application and acceptance into his current position at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland from 2022-2025.
Dr. Dinerman has developed a scientific interest in tumor immunology and adoptive cell therapies with a focus on immune-exclusive malignancies. His clinical interests include hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. He lives in Washington, DC currently with his 6+ year old mixed breed dog, Carson and enjoys running, golfing, and is an avid sports fan of his Philadelphia Eagles and North Carolina Tar Heels.
