Sam C. Wang, MD, FACS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Wang earned his medical degree at the Duke University School of Medicine, completed general surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and complex general surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Wang cares for patients with foregut malignancies. In the lab, Dr. Wang is studying the molecular causes of gastric cancer outcome disparities that Hispanic patients face. He is also working to identify novel prognostic and predictive biommarkers to guide clinical care for gastric cancer patients.
