Dr. Lauren Krumeich, MD, MSTR is an Assistant Professor of Endocrine Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Michigan Medicine. Dr. Krumeich obtained her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with honors from Brown University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then received her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in general surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, during which time she completed a Master of Science in Translational Research. During residency, Dr. Krumeich held the position of administrative chief resident and was awarded Alpha Omega Alpha honors and the Leonard D. Miller Master Educator Award for her teaching of medical students. She then completed fellowship at the Harvard Combined Endocrine Surgery Program.
Dr. Krumeich's current role is Assistant Professor of Endocrine Surgery at the University of MIchigan. Dr. Krumeich’s clinical practice focuses on the surgical management of benign and malignant diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. Her lab focuses on immune privilege in adrenal metastases and malignant potential of pheochromocytomas.
