Dr. Sarah B. Fisher is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and is the Associate Program Director for the Surgical Endocrinology Fellowship program as well as the Associate Patient Safety & Quality Officer for Surgical Oncology. Dr. Fisher is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Medicine and earned her MD magna cum laude in 2009. She completed her general surgical internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2016, during which time she spent two years pursuing translational and clinical research projects in multiple areas of surgical oncology and earned a Master of Science in clinical research. After completing her Complex General Surgical Oncology and Surgical Endocrinology fellowships at MD Anderson, she joined the faculty in 2019 with a focus in endocrine surgery and melanoma, and specifically developing these service lines in the Houston area locations.
