After graduating with honors from University of California Santa Barbara, Oliver moved to Boston University to complete medical school. Whilst there, his research interests centered around amyloid deposition in the brains of professional athletes and its correlation to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). From there, he continued his medical training in general surgery at Northwell Health in Long island, where he has completed his first two years of training. In pursuing a career in Surgical Oncology, he has joined the lab of Dr. David Tuveson at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory for two years to work on identifying clinical and molecular tumor markers for pancreatic cancer. Alongside his clinical and basic science partners, he is also utilizing a novel drug delivery system to personalize chometherapy regimens for patients.
