Adom Bondzi-Simpson, MD, MSc is a third-year resident in the General Surgery and Surgeon Scientist Training program at the University of Toronto. Adom’s advocacy and research passion is around health equity. Currently, he is completing an PhD in clinical epidemiology exploring disparities in colorectal cancer surgery in Ontario under the supervision of Dr. Julie Hallet. He is the co-founder of the Upsurge Mentorship program aimed at stimulating interest, providing support, and guiding underrepresented students in pursuing surgical careers.
