Amber Famiglietti Gallanis, M.D. is a Surgical Oncology Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Gallanis completed her undergraduate training at Swarthmore College with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She then completed her medical school training at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She is currently a resident in the General Surgery program at Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Under the guidance of her mentor Dr. Jeremy Davis, M.D. at the National Cancer Institute, Dr. Gallanis’s clinical research interests include investigating molecular mechanisms driving hereditary diffuse gastric cancer using spatial transcriptomics and exploring the role of locoregional therapies in metastatic gastric cancer.
