Dr. Zaveri is a current breast surgical oncology fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She graduated from Northwestern University with an undergraduate degree in Economics and Global Health. She is passionate about public health and completed a concurrent MD and MPH program at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed general surgery residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. During her surgical training, she pursued several research avenues merging her interest in surgery and public health, including work in postoperative opioid reduction, access to surgical care in resource-limited settings, and disparities in surgical and cancer care. During fellowship, she is working on research covering the spectrum of breast disease from nonoperative management of atypical ductal hyperplasia to surgery in de novo metastatic disease and pursuing the Global Cancer Care Track at MD Anderson.
