General Surgery Resident
Duke University Medical Center
Dr. Annie Liu received a PhD in neuroscience and an MD from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University Medical Scientist Training Program in 2019. She then joined the Duke University General Surgery Residency, where she is currently completing a three-year post-doctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Kris Wood, PhD, with additional mentorship from Dr. Michael Lidsky, MD. Her laboratory research uses genome-wide CRISPR screening to understand the regulation of haploinsufficient tumor suppressor genes, and her clinical research interests include regional and surgical therapies for hepatobiliary malignancies. Following residency, she plans to pursue a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology.
