Ned Zachary Carp MD, FACS holds the Barbara Brodsky Chief of Surgery Chair at the Lankenau Medical Center while also serving as the vice chair of clinical operations for the Department of Surgery in the Main Line Health System. He is a clinical assistant professor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.He received a BA in Natural Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1979. He matriculated at Temple University School of Medicine in 1984. He completed a surgical residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in 1989 before completing his surgical oncology fellowship at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1991.He practices general surgical oncology with areas of interest in hepatobiliary , gastrointestinal, breast, endocrine surgery and melanoma. He is currently tjhe represenative from the Society of Surgical Oncology to the Commission on Cancer after srving a six year term representing the fellowship of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Quality Committee of the SSO and has served on its executive council representing community surgeons.
