Jess Maxwell is an Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in the treatment of hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) cancers. Her clinical and translational research interests focus on the study of gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors. She was the recipient of the 2021 NANETS Clinical Investigator Scholarship and the 2022 TRANSCEND Cancer Initiative Translational Research Award for her work on the molecular characterization of the small bowel neuroendocrine tumor microenvironment. She serves as the Quality Improvement Lead for the Pancreas Section, and an Associate Program Director for the HPB Fellowship at MD Anderson.
