Mercy N. Jimenez, MD is a 2nd year Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellow at Roger Williams Medical Center-Boston University in Providence, Rhode Island. A first-generation college graduate, she completed undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Biophysics at Florida International University in Miami before attending Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica, and then went on to a residency in General Surgery at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York in July of 2022 after a General Surgery Preliminary intern year at Ascension Providence Park Hospital in Southfield Michigan. Dr. Jimenez is passionate about Surgical Oncology because it is a continuously evolving field with a broad scope of operations and diversity of pathology which provides tangible results for both the patient and the surgeon. The uniquely intimate and lifelong physician-patient relationship entailed in taking patients through their cancer care is what made Complex General Surgical Oncology her specialty of choice.
