Surgical oncologist
Sarcoma service, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan, Italy
I am a surgical oncologist working at Istituto Nazionale Tumori, Milan, Italy. I trained in Milan, Italy, before completing a Surgical Oncology fellowship at University of Toronto in 2020. My practice is fully dedicated to the care of patients with soft tissue sarcoma and gastrointestinal stromal tumor. I have been practicing in the Sarcoma Service at Istituto Nazionale Tumori, Milan, Italy, since 2017. This is one of the major sarcoma referral center in Europe. My main research focus is on the development and integration into practice of prognostic models for patients with soft tissue sarcoma of the extremity and of the retroperitoneum. I am author of one of the few available app for smartphone and tablet for predicting prognosis of patients with soft tissue sarcoma: Sarculator. I enjoyed being part of, contribute to and learn from the Transatlantic Australasian Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group since its very beginning. Within the group I am now coordinating the Education Committee and the Educational Webinar Series (https://tarpswg.org/webinars).
