My journey towards the field of surgery commenced during my early academic years at King Edward Medical University Lahore when I was exploring various career options. Working as a surgeon in Pakistan resonated with me as if it were my true calling, especially upon witnessing the tangible impact of collective efforts on patient outcomes. Furthermore, driven by my inherent collaborative nature, I am inclined towards this field since it not only positions one as a leader within an institute but also serves as a platform where individuals from diverse disciplines converge to optimize patient care. Additionally, I have a conviction that academic surgery is a GIFT, and I aspire to make meaningful contributions to it.
