Dr. Delman is currently a Professor and Associate Chair for the Department of Surgery at Emory University where he also serves as Surgeon-in-Chief at Grady Memorial Hospital. In the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University School of Medicine, he is a senior member of the melanoma program. Dr. Delman's practice also focuses on treating complex cutaneous oncology, including adnexal tumors of the skin, merkel cell carcinoma and sarcoma.
He is a member of the American Surgical Association, Society of Surgical Oncology, Southern Surgical Association, American College of Surgeons, Academy of Master Surgeon Educators, Association of Surgical Education and the Association of Program Directors in Surgery. He has held leadership positions in several and is continues to be active in all. He is an examiner for the ABS-CGSO Certifying exam and an Associate Editor of CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians.
He is married to a remarkable leader in public health, Dr. Dana Meaney-Delman, who is an ob/gyn and Branch Chief at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Together they have two daughters, Samantha, age 23 and Emma, age 19.
