Dr. Galouzis earned his undergraduate degree in Modern Greek language from The Ohio State University and subsequently matriculated to Indiana University School of Medicine. During medical school, with interests in healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship, he attained his MBA at the University of Oxford. During that time, he was able to pursue interests in global health at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda. While there, he helped develop the initial proposal for the now launched Center for Equity in Global Surgery. After graduating medical school, he came to the University of Arizona for general surgery residency with clinical interests in surgical oncology. Under the guidance of Dr. Taylor Riall, he is currently in dedicated research time with a focus on the quality of life in patients with pancreatic disease and the impacts of surgery.
