I completed general surgery residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2005 to 2013 with a 3 year imbedded NIH T32 research fellowship focused on HER-mediated cell signaling in pancreatic adenocarcinoma. I completed a Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship at UT-MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2013 to 2015, and currently, am an Associate Professor at University of South Alabama with clinical focus on cutaneous malignancies, breast, upper GI and endocrine malignancies. My current administrative responsibilities include Chief Medical Information Officer aimed at improving electronic medical record efficiency and metric capture within our healthsystem.
