Dr. Adam Yopp is the Occidental Chemical Chair of Cancer Research and a Professor and Division Chief of Surgical Oncology, at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He completed fellowship training in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and joined UTSW in 2009. As Director of the Liver Tumor Program both his research and clinical interests are focused on the delivery of cancer care in patients with primary and secondary liver cancer.
Specifically, Dr. Yopp has current NIH R01 and DOD funding examining the multilevel factors associated with racial/ethnic disparities in outcome measures in newly diagnosed liver cancer. His research efforts have resulted in over 200 peer-reviewed publications and 20 book chapters. As the Director of the UTSW Comprehensive Cancer Center Tissue Management Resource he is a participating investigator in the P50 Cancer Center Support Grant.
