Stephen B. Edge, MD, FACS, is the Vice President of Healthcare Outcomes and Policy and a Professor of Oncology in the Departments of Surgical Oncology and Cancer Prevention and Control at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and Professor of Surgery at the University at Buffalo. He attended medical school and trained in surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. After a fellowship in surgical oncology at the National Cancer Institute, he served as Assistant Professor of Surgery and Surgical Oncology at the University of Virginia. In 1992, he moved to Roswell Park where he served as Chief of the Breast Service for over 20 years. He is currently VP of System Quality and Outcome overseeing quality programs in the Roswell Park Care Network. His work focuses on improving community-wide quality of cancer care. He is past chair of the Commission on Cancer and American Joint Committee on Cancer and past member of the ASCO Board. He serves on the Board of the NCCN and AJCC. He is the founding Chair of the Value in Cancer Care Committee of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology.
