Shravan Leonard-Murali is a PGY4 general surgery resident at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. He previously completed his first three years of residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He then completed a 3-year T32 postdoctoral research fellowship at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, University of Pittsburgh under the mentorship of Dr. Udai Kammula in the Solid Tumor Cellular Immunotherapy Program. During this time he also obtained a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health with a focus on molecular epidemiology. He then transferred to the Allegheny Health Network residency program where he is being mentored by Dr. David Bartlett.
His career Interests include pursuing a CGSO fellowship after residency (he is an applicant in the current cycle), with the goal of an eventual general practice in an academic setting with a research/clinical split. His research interests include tumor immunogenomics, adoptive cell therapy, and clinical/molecular epidemiology.
