Dr. Laura Lambert is Professor of Surgery at the University of Utah. Dr. Lambert earned her undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts in 1996. Her general surgery residency was completed at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, in 2003, and was followed by a three-year fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She was a member of the surgical faculty at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center from 2006-2008 and in the Department of Surgery at the UMass Memorial Medical Center from 2009-2017. She is also board certified in hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. Lambert joined the faculty at the University of Utah in 2018 where she is the Director of the Peritoneal Malignancy Program at the Huntsman Cancer Institue and the Program Director for General Surgery at the University of Utah.
