Roi Weiser is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Departments of Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His clinical practice focuses on the multidisciplinary care of patients with melanoma and rare cutaneous malignancies, as well as patients with breast cancer. An Israeli native, he received his medical training at the Sackler School of medicine at the Tel-Aviv University and completed his General Surgery residency at the Tel-Aviv Sourasky medical center. He then completed a Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at UTMB, followed by an International Surgical Oncology fellowship at MD Anderson. His research interests include clinical trials and patient outcome research, with a focus on the surgical care of melanoma patients in the immunotherapy era, the role of surgery in metastatic patients and the management of patients with rare subtypes of melanoma.
