Jonathan C Salo MD is at Chief of GI Surgical Oncology at the Levine Cancer Institute at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. After medical school and residency at the University of California at San Francisco, he served as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. He completed a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center before joining the faculty at Loma Linda University. He joined the faculty of the Division of Surgical Oncology at the Levine Cancer Institute at Carolinas Medical Center in 2002. Carolinas Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Atrium Heatlh. His clinical interests are in minimally-invasive surgery for gastro-esophageal cancers, surgical nutrition, and perioperative risk evaluation.
