Tammy Ju, MD FACS, is an assistant professor of clinical surgery in breast surgical oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine New York Presbyterian Queens in New York. She received her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed her residency in General Surgery at George Washington University where she also spent a year doing a research fellowship in general surgery. She completed fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology at Stanford University.
Dr. Ju's research interests include clinical outcomes related to breast surgery and has added experience in staged nipple-sparing mastectomy to help women reduce ischemic complications related to mastectomy. Her recent research has been focused on the health disparities seen in the Asian-American breast cancer population. She was a Rotary International Scholar where she studied in Sinagpore for one year as an ambassador of goodwill. Dr. Ju has participated in medical and surgical mission trips internationally to Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
