Anai N. Kothari, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology, Department of Surgery and a member of the Collaborative for Healthcare Delivery Science at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Kothari completed his General Surgery training at Loyola University Medical Center where he also earned a Masters degree in Epidemiology. This was followed by a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His clinical expertise is the surgical treatment of upper gastrointestinal cancer, regional cancer therapies, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Kothari has an active research laboratory focused on improving cancer care by leveraging advanced analytic methodologies and big data. This includes optimizing care delivery through machine learning and predictive analytics, developing tools to utilize real world data and improve electronic health data, and augmenting cancer care with personalized digital tools.
