General Surgery Resident

Johanna Lou is a clinical PGY04 General Surgery Resident at Cooper University Hospital. She graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Neuroscience and Behavior and received her MD at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. She completed one year of translational research between her 2nd and 3rd year of general surgery residency, where she investigated the effects of adipose-derived stem cells on aortic aneurysms. Currently, she is applying to cardiothoracic fellowships and hopes to continue clinical outcomes research in an academic setting. In her free time, she enjoys running, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and dog, Petra.
