Thoracic Oncology Research Fellow/ General Surgery Resident
Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine
I am a Thoracic Surgical Oncology Research Fellow within the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Brendon Stiles. I received the National Institutes of Health's T32 Ruth L. Kirschstein Institutional National Research Service Award and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery Foundation's David J. Sugarbaker Surgical Resident Investigator Award to complete two dedicated years of research during my General Surgery residency. The projects I am involved in include investigating the tumor microenvironment to identify prognostic markers for metastasis in NSCLC and exploring possible therapeutic targets for EGFR-mutated lung cancer. I am also interested in increasing access to preventative lung cancer screening, as well as using social determinants of health to assess where disparities in healthcare delivery lie and how to effectively address these disparities.
