Dr. John Hays is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology at The Ohio State University, and a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at The Ohio State University James Comprehensive Cancer Center. Clinically, he has a focus on developmental therapeutics in gynecologic cancers and peritoneal disease. He has previously led the GI Disease Specific Research Group and is currently the medical director for the Clinical Trials Office for the James Cancer Center. He serves on the NCI Gynecologic Cancers Steering Committee Ovarian Cancer Task Force, NRG Developmental Therapeutics and Translational Science Committees as well as being the NRG Phase 1 Investigator for the OSUCCC. He is also a member of the GOG Foundation Investigators Council. Dr. Hays earned his MD/PhD from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute.
