Surgery Resident
University of Rochester
I am currently a fourth year general surgery resident at the University of Rochester Medical Center. During my research years, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Center for Tumor Immunology under the mentorship of David C. Linehan, MD. My focus in the lab was the development of translatable immunotherapies through pre-clinical testing in mouse models of pancreas and liver cancer. My lab work identified mechanisms of immune evasion in cholangiocarcinoma, and was published in Gut. Furthermore, my work formed the preclinical rational for a novel therapeutic trial in metastatic pancreatic cancer (NCT05102721). This trial is funded by a $1.5 M grant I co-authored, awarded by the Gateway for Cancer Research Foundation. My career interests include hepatobiliary surgery and oncology, cancer immunotherapy, health disparities, and healthcare quality improvement.
