General Surgery Resident

Neil Blok is a 2019 graduate of the Harvard/MIT Medical Scientist Training Program. His doctoral research applied structural biology and classic biochemistry tools to understanding cell function at the organellar level. He is now a general surgery resident at the University of Michigan. Neil is interested in pursuing a career in surgical oncology. He is particularly interested in the mechanisms that underlie increased cancer risk in obesity-related metabolic disease.
