Greetings all, I am Ned Farley, a doctor in Australia who is 'prevocational' and heading toward a career in surgery. Head and neck surgery is my passion, particularly oncological surgery with reconstruciton. When not working as a doctor, I am a long-distance runner (favourite is the half marathon- did the full, that was enough!). I also make a lot of music - I play five instruments, of which guitar is my most proficient. I also produce house music - It is energetic and exceedingly fun to make and then share.
With our team at the Melanoma Institute in Australia, we endeavour to define the optimal time period between initial biopsy and diagnosis of melanoma and definitive surgery. When we find this time period, we hope it informs guidlines, best practice and ultimately resource allocation- this implications are huge.
