Andrew D. Wisneski, M.D. is a general surgery resident at University of California San Francisco. He will plan to graduate his residency in 2022.
Andrew attended Johns Hopkins Unviersity, class of 2011, and majored in biomedical engineering graduating in 2011 with departmenal honors. He then attended UCSF School of Medicine, graudating in 2015 with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He was fortunate to remain at UCSF for general surgery training. He has explored a variety of research endeavors during his professional development time including outcomes of hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, a surgical innovation project, and application of computational modeling techniques.
Dr. Wisneski is captivated by the field of surgical oncology given the great potential for research to improve the care of cancer patients, and he looks forward to finding ways to translate his diverse research background and interests into future surgical therapies.
