Dr. Sharon Weber specializes in benign and malignant disorders of the liver, pancreas and bile duct, in addition to gastric cancer, melanoma, and sarcoma. She has been an invited speaker and moderator at many national meetings, including the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), and Society of University Surgeons (SUS). She serves on the Executive Council of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), SUS, and AHPBA, and served as President of the SUS in 2015. Dr. Weber's research interests include mixed methods evaluation of risk factors for readmission using a systems engineering approach with a focus on the transition of care and outcomes research evaluating preoperative predictors of postoperative complications.
