Steven Yi is a medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, having graduated from Temple University in 2019. Steven's academic journey is distinguished by an active engagement in surgical research, despite being in the early stages of his medical education.
While he has not yet declared a specialty, Steven has contributed to several research projects with potential clinical impact. His work includes assisting in a study on the effects of spinal decompression on ASIA scores, evaluating which olecranon repair techniques yield higher post-operative complications, employing machine learning to predict prognosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with a focus on patients with intermediate risk, and conducting survival analysis of patients with pseudopapillary pancreatic neoplasms.
At the conference, Steven will discuss his insights on the enucleations of pancreatic neoplasms and the associated risk factors for post-operative complications, showcasing his analytical skills and research-driven approach to surgical issues.
