Dr. Sarah DeSnyder is an Associate Professor of Breast Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. DeSnyder received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. DeSnyder completed her general surgery training at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas and her Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. DeSnyder is the director of resident education for Breast Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson and was named Faculty Educator of the Month in June of 2018. Dr. DeSnyder is certified in medical quality by the American Board of Medical Quality and serves as the Quality Officer for Breast Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson. Dr. DeSnyder’s areas of interest include lymphedema, education, enhanced recovery after surgery, responsible prescribing of opioids, and body image disturbances after breast cancer care.
