Thoracic Oncology Research Fellow/ General Surgery Resident
Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine
I am a General Surgery Resident at the Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and currently serving as a Thoracic Oncology Research Fellow within the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Brendon Stiles.
I have a particular interest in early-stage lung cancer and social determinants of care, and I am passionate about understanding and acting upon healthcare disparities. To this end, I am investigating systematic patterns leading to adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy underutilization in the community and working to develop strategies that can help improve treatment delivery.
Additionally, I am interested in studying lung cancer tumor microenvironment to understand the role of mono-ADP-ribosylation in cancer progression, and currently working on in-vitro and in-vivo models of actionable blockade of this pathway, which has potential synergistic effects with systemic therapy.
