JC Chen is a general surgery resident and postdoctoral health services researcher at the Ohio State University with a particular interest in healthcare inequities. They completed their undergraduate training at the University of Michigan before heading to the Ohio State University for medical school where they self-directed research on assessing the need for further education and training in cultural humility. JC has since shifted their research portfolio toward evaluating healthcare disparities in breast surgery and colorectal surgery.
