Alice Chung, MD, is a board-certified surgeon specializing in benign and malignant breast disease. She is an Associate Professor of Surgery and is the Associate Program Director of the Breast Oncology Fellowship Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She serves on multiple committees, including the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Graduate Medical Education Committee, the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Center Protocol Research and Monitoring Committee and the Society of Surgical Oncology Training Committee. She has recently been appointed the Clinical Chief of the Division of Surgilcal Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Chung is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Disease, the Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Chung earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from Chicago Medical School. She completed her residency and research fellowship in surgery at Cedars-Sinai, where she received the Leo G. Rigler Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement and the Craig A. Lipkin Research Award. She then completed her fellowship in breast surgery at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she was awarded a Breast Cancer Alliance Breast Surgery Fellowship grant.
