Michael E Egger, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor at the University of Louisville's Hiram C Polk, Jr, MD Department of Surgery. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of the South in 2004 and his MD from Emory University in 2008. He completed the general surgery residency program at the University of Louisville under Dr. Kelly McMasters. In 2017 he graduated from the Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Director for Quality and Outcomes at the UofL Health Brown Cancer Center, the Associate Program Director of the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Louisville, and the Surgical Quality Officer for the University of Louisville Hospital.
