Post Doctoral Research Fellow
Department of Internal Medicine, University of Texas SouthWestern Medical Center
I am a dedicated postdoctoral research fellow in hematology and oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW), where I focus on understanding colorectal and neuroendocrine tumors. My academic journey began at Aga Khan University, where I cultivated a deep-rooted passion for medical research, leading me to specialize in these complex cancer types. My current work primarily utilizes US national databases and institutional tumor registries to explore the epidemiology, treatment outcomes, and potential therapeutic avenues for these diseases.
I am also spearheading the NETPRO project at UTSW, a collaborative endeavor involving 13 major US institutions. This initiative aims to establish a comprehensive neuroendocrine tumor (NET) database across the United States, designed to enhance the scope and quality of clinical research in this field. By integrating data from diverse sources, the project seeks to improve patient care strategies and foster the development of novel treatments.
Through my research endeavors, I aim to not only advance scientific knowledge in these areas but also pave the way for more effective and personalized treatment options for patients afflicted with these conditions.
