Clinical Research Fellow
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
I'm Yi Song, a Clinical Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I'm passionate about GI malignancies and dedicated to improving patient outcomes. I earned my BSc in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley, my Master's in Biomedical Informatics from UCSF as a UCSF-Zaffaroni Family Fellow, and my MD from the University of Pittsburgh, where I discovered my passion for surgery.
As a resident at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, I gained experience in diverse surgical procedures and was recognized for my patient care. I'm also passionate about research, focusing on biliary tract cancer and colorectal liver metastasis.
My research has been recognized at prestigious conferences like AHPBA, SSO, and GI ASCO, and I received awards such as Best Basic Science Research Paper, Top-Rated HPB Oral Abstract, and a finalist for the James Ewing Harvey Baker Traveling Fellow. I'm eager to continue my surgical training through the CGSO fellowship, committed to making a positive impact on my patients' lives, and excited to continue my journey as a surgeon.
