Kelly Mahuron, MD, is a Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellow at the City of Hope National Medical Center with strong research interest in immuno-oncology research. After receiving her medical degree at the University of California, San Diego, she completed her surgical residency at the University of California, San Francisco. During this time, Dr. Mahuron was the recipient of an NIH T32 training grant and spent 3 years in an Immunology lab studying tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and biomarkers predictive of immunotherapy response, which resulted in several high-impact, peer-reviewed publications. After completion of her fellowship, she aspires to become a surgeon scientist and lead immunotherapy clinical trials.
