Christopher Scally, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Scally graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and completed his general surgery residency training at the University of Michigan. While at Michigan he obtained a Masters Degree in Healthcare Research through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He completed a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at M.D. Anderson. His clinical practice focuses on the treatment of patients with peritoneal malignancies and soft tissue sarcoma. His research is focused on clinical/outcomes and health services, with particular interests in improving the quality of research in rare disease sites through collaboration and clinical trial development. He has a strong interest in surgical education and serves as Associate Program Director for the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at MD Anderson.
