Dr Tsilimigras is a General Surgery Resident and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He received his MD degree (summa cum laude) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2017. He obtained a PhD from Univeristy of Athens, Greece. He completed a 2-year Postdoctoral research fellowship at the Division of Surgical Oncology, Dept of General Surgery, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center prior to matching to residency. He completed 2 years of clinical training and is currently pursuing a research fellowship as part of the General Surgery residency program curriculum at the Ohio State University.
Dr Tsilimigras’ clinical interests include Surgical Oncology and HPB Surgery. He is conducting clinical outcomes and health services research mainly focusing on hepatopancreatobiliary cancers. He has published more than 350 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Annals of Surgery, JAMA Surgery, Annals of Surgical Oncology, British Journal of Surgery and others. His work has been cited more than 7000 times. He is an Associate Editor in 1 scientific journal, an active Editorial Board member of 6 journals and has served as a Reviewer for more than 20 scientific journals.
