General Surgery Resident
Nuvance Health
I am a motivated general surgery resident at Nuvance Health passionate about improving patient outcomes through clinical research and resource development. As a medical student, Ethan collaborated with Trauma Department of King's County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and FDNY and EMS services to improve the prehospital care of the trauma patient. This included creating educational interventions for EMS and working in a multidisciplinary setting to develop a protocol to shorten the time to operation for patients with hip fractures. Throughout medical school I was also an anatomy tutor and prosector who created a chapter in a widely used dissector. At my current institution, I have discovered a passion for surgery of the liver, pancreas, and biliary system and have been selected to present locally and nationally on the conservative management of liver hematomas in Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I look forward to continuing to contribute surgical academia and improving the outcomes of surgical patients.
