Sina Yadegarynia is currently a Surgical Resident at University of Miami – JFK Medical Center, seeking a fellowship position in Surgical Oncology. Dr. Yadegarynia earned his Medical Degree from Univeristy of Miami and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from San Jose State University with a thesis profiling flavonoid cytotoxicity in human breast cancer cells.
Dr. Yadegarynia has conducted clinical research at Stanford University, studying inter-relations of immune cell subsets in tumor draining lymph nodes of breast cancer patients, and Harvard Cancer Center/BIDMC, studying the efficacy of PI3K and PARP inhibitors in triple negative breast cancer. In medical school, he examined the barriers to achieving timely and appropriate care in patient with breast cancer, as well as, axillary response rate after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Additionally, he studied the feasibility of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemoperfusion in patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis over the age of 70.
With thirteen publications in peer-reviewed journals and numerous oral and poster presentations at several societies inclusing SSO, AACR, ASBM, Dr. Yadegarynia is dedicated to advancing his surgical, clinical, and research experiences to help improve outcomes for patients with advanced malignancies.
