This hands-on course will include lectures from leaders in the field on technical approaches, training and learning curve considerations and tips on starting a robotic program. Hands on didactics utilizing cadavers, live animal surgeries, and biotissue anastomotic drills will educate participants on necessary operative steps and develop the robotic skillset to complete pancreatic, liver and gastric resections with direct feedback from robotic HPB/UGI experts. The course is designed for faculty who have preliminary robotic case experience but seek to perform more complex hepatobiliary and upper gastrointestinal procedures. Bus transportation and lunch included with registration.
