SSO 2024 Registration Information

Meeting registration includes in-person attendance, as well as access to select sessions posted for on-demand viewing post-conference. 

SSO 2024 Pre-Meetings: These optional courses are designed to benefit members of the Society and SSO 2024 attendees with an emphasis on practical information for the practicing surgeon. Registrants also wishing to attend SSO 2024 are required to pay the full meeting registration fee.

SSO 2024 Raising for Research Event- This is a separate ticketed event and is not included with registration.

*Guest/Spouse registration includes Wednesday Welcome Reception, Thursday Happy Hour and SSO HUB access. Spouse/Guest registration is restricted to networking and social events only and is not to be used as full conference registration. Spouse/Guest registration does not include access to sessions.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to the SSO. There will be a $75 fee for cancellations received on or before January 26, 2024. For cancellations received between January 27 and March 15, 2024, a 50% cancellation charge will apply. No cancellations will be refunded beginning March 16, 2024.

If you have a serious reason for being unable to attend, you are welcome to petition for an exception to this policy. To do so, please email the SSO at ssoannualmeeting@surgonc.org to explain your situation and include any documentation to support your case (documentation is optional but recommended). These petitions must be submitted by Monday, April 8, 2024, and the decision regarding your petition may take up to one month after the event.
 
All registration cancellations and refunds will be processed in the same manner as the original payment: if paid by credit card, the refund will be issued to the card on record, generally within 5-7 business days of the request. Payments made by check will be refunded as a check within 45 days of the close of the meeting.

Visa Letter Request

If you are not a U.S. citizen and are planning to attend SSO 2024, advance planning is critical. Citizens of some foreign countries will need a visa to enter the United States and attend SSO 2024.

If you would like to request an invitation letter from the Society of Surgical Oncology for your visa application, you must first register and pay in full for the meeting. To obtain a visa invitation letter, please select "Yes" during the registration process. An email will be sent within 24 hours of completed registration. Please contact SSO staff at ssoannualmeeting@surgonc.org for questions regarding visa letters.

Photography & Video, Privacy & Implied Release

By attending this meeting, you hereby acknowledge and agree that SSO or its agents may take photographs or videos of attendees during events and may freely use those photographs/videos in any media for SSO’s purposes, including but not limited to news and promotional purposes, without further compensation to the attendee. If you have any questions or issues, please contact us prior to the meeting.

Children under 12

For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 (including infants in carriers and strollers, or hand-carried infants and toddlers) are not permitted in the meeting space, educational sessions or SSO HUB.
